Last week I spent a lot of time learning new web-skills, as I said yesterday. It is amazing to me that the things that I started to learn long ago, when I first left school and went to do and IT degree are now so useful. The internet was unheard of when I first went to college yet the things that I learned then now have great value in the internet age. At the time, I thought that it was all a big mistake and that I was wasting my time.
I also am realising how much I learned from the experience of standing for one of the local council seats in May this year. I learned how hard it is to actually change someone's mind about something. I learned more about campaigning than I ever thought possible.
