What a change the internet makes. I have just read the name of the Leeds United sportsperson who is being held on rape charges – the mainstream media is unable to broadcast his name due to legal restrictions, yet anyone with internet access can read it very easily indeed. The internet means everything changes, including laws affecting privacy, copyrite and contempt of court. How they will all change, remains to be seen, but it is inconceivable that they can remain unchanged.
It is not as though I know one Leeds United player from another, either. Who knows why I cared enough to look? I don’t know.
