Copyright

It is strange that copyright rules vary so much from one side of the Atlantic to another. I have been trying to buy some sheet music from the US online. Anything written before 1923 is regarded in the US as being in the public domain – in the EU it is to do with 70 years having elapsed since the composer died. This means that there are things that you can buy in the US but not in the UK. There are things that you can order in the states which you cannot order from here. I even tried to order it and have it delivered to a friend in Boston who would then send it on to me – no luck with that either.
