I’ve just received a copy of Bertie – how exciting.
The correct name of the book is "Scottish Episcopal Clergy 1689 – 2000" and it is the definitive work on SEC members of the clergy. The clergy biographies are interesting (my own is slightly inaccurate) but even more interesting is a brief history of each of the places in which Episcopal worship has taken place.
It is not a cheap book – over £60 usually, but I got mine through Amazon, where a well known Cambridge bookseller is selling copies that appear to be remaindered ones for just £27.
Re: Bertie
My entry isn’t there! 🙁
I was ordained deacon in August 1999, and priest in August 2000 which was obviously too late for the copy deadline.
Now only if this was available online…
