Are the Jeffrey John and Gene Robinson affairs not just reruns of the Donatist controversy?
If so, of course, we know what the outcome will be.

Well, this does not resolve things completely, though I think that I can see where your arguement lies.I suppose your argument dependends on the idea that what mattered was the faith of the human subject and not the holiness of the one administering the sacrament.
What about sin though?
