I fear that taking on the position of bishop means that one has to bend to the political will of the powerful in the State, at least publically. If +Rowan wasn’t prepared to take on the issue of homosexual clergy head-on, I can’t believe that their are many bishops outside of the USA / Australia who would be prepared to openly do so.
Blah.
