Changing Attitude Scotland

I'm delighted to announce the formation of Changing Attitude Scotland, a network of people straight and gay, lay and ordained. The aim of the network is to work for the full affirmation of gay and lesbian people within the Scottish Episcopal Church and the wider Anglican Communion. The inaugural day will take place on 4 October 2003 with an event at St Saviour's Church, Bridge of Allan. More details to be posted and published later today.

The inaugural event takes place just 10 days before the meeting of Anglican Primates in London. There is a call to prayer for the Anglican Communion in the lead up to this meeting and the following prayer has been suggested for use at this time.

Heavenly Father,
you have called us
in the Body of your Son Jesus Christ
to continue his work of reconciliation
and reveal you to humankind.
Forgive us the sins which tear us apart;
give us the courage to overcome our fears
and to seek that unity
which is your gift and your will;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
