Christmas

I've just received my first Christmas card. It is from a company wanting to sell me Church Copyright licences – a business which I find unpleasant enough at the best of times. I hope that I am not being too Scrooge-like by putting it straight in the bin. I have a feeling that a lot of my Christmas cards this year will be e-cards. They are much better for the environment. However, I am not going to start worrying about it now and I am certainly less likely to sign up for a copyright license than I was before getting the card. Do people who deal with clergy every day of their life not know that sending them Christmas cards at the start of November is likely to be counterproductive?

I've known for some time that I am an Advent fundamentalist. I dare say I will blog about that at an appropriate time. Meanwhile – into the bin goes the first Christmas card of the year.
