Working Time

I think that I might, just about, have recovered from Christmas. Having three services each 12 hours apart over Christmas Eve and Christmas Day is hard work. The European Working Time Directive would suggest that one should not be encouraged (or allowed) to do this. It is only a matter of time before the churches have to comply.

It is surprising and pleasing to get such a young crowd for Midnight Mass. This year, I think that the congregation was younger than I remember. I've said recently to one or two people that it is my impression that the congregation is getting younger and it was good to have this confirmed at such an important service in the year.
