It took me a surprisingly long time to find a Richard Holloway picture online which I could put on the church website. It looks rather old. I am not even sure that he wears a dog collar much these days. When I have seen him recently he always been in an existentialist black polo neck.
In the future, of course, bishops (retired or otherwise) who have things to say will use the internet and have their own websites for doing so. Some probably do already, but it is interesting to imagine the effect of a personal website on some of the controversies in the past.
