Isn’t it time now for the BBC to scrap Home Truths on a Saturday morning on Radio 4? If even John Peel, of blessed memory, could not make this phone-in drivel worth listening to, how is any lesser broadcaster to do it?

Oh Kelvin, I loved Home Truths with John Peel. I loved his kindly, witty comments and I loved the bizarre nature of the calls. I agree, however, that it has lost its charms and should indeed be scrapped. How about SEC Truths? A phone-in for the bizarre and eccentric members of our dear little church? We could fill a programme or two.
