No sermon this morning – I was baptising again instead.
Who would have thought that so many in the congregation would take up the invitation to come to church and the Young Church Garden Party in Victorian Fancy dress?
I did not participate in the dressing up, though could be found dancing around a Maypole later in the day. (Or a Junepole, perhaps).
Funnily enough, I saw more clerical frock coats being worn yesterday than I have seen in some time. They would have done admirably for the fancy dress.
Yesterday I was at a big celebration in Edinburgh of a fine priest's 25th year Jubilee of his Priesting at St Michael and All Saints. Congratulations to Fr Kevin. Congratulations to to the congregation for being visited by the Mystery Worshipper of the Ship of Fools. http://www.shipoffools.com
