Tilly and I are both back home, she from her stay in Cat Prison, me from my trip to London.

Highlights included:

…actually sleeping on the Sleeper.

…meeting and hearing Bishop Gene. He is a powerful evangelist and most impressive speaker.

…three nights at the theatre.

…the Wallace Collection on a wet Monday afternoon.

…sashaying through Covent Garden last night whilst a busker sang No Woman No Cry.

The theatre productions that I saw were particularly good. Firstly the Donmar production of Mary Stuart by Schiller – two fabulous queens. Then the Tom Stoppard translation of a new play called Heroes – three fabulous men of a certain age. Then last night The Producers at the Theatre Royal Drury – two and a half hours of fabulous but outrageous nonsense. What was that strange baying cry which I kept hearing? Could it have been my own hysterical laughter?

Oh, and I nearly forgot, I passed through a very large crowd of people celebrating the launch of a new film the other night in Leicester Square as its stars arrived for the Premiere. Harry Something or Other and a Goblet, I think it was.
