This is the Christmas Ad campaign from the Churches Advertising Network. Sometimes these campaigns get people very angry and upset – don’t know whether this one will.
I think it is quite good, but don’t know whether it will catch the zeitgeist.
There are radio ads to go with it too.
The basic idea of asking people where they find God is a good one though the voices are too southern English to be any use on local radio here.
Talking of church marketing, Gadgetvicar has been highlighting the Alpha Viral ads. Full marks to Alpha for getting the viral idea. The videos are well made too, though the basic message could be read as being – God is a terribly long way away from everything you are interested in.
In the meantime I’ll keep an eye out in the Junkyard Dog, just in case!
