I agree with you, but I can see the point of women-only carriages. It’s not only about sexism. It’s about the sad reality that some men can’t behave themselves, and women have a right to travel without being harassed by some idiot. Sure it’s not going to ‘challenge’ male violence, but it’s one possible way of dealing with an existing situation.
(Also, Kelvin, I’d be grateful for a prayer. My mother Ellenor slipped away very peacefully this morning at the age of 104.)
