We’ve an exhibition on in church over the next week. It is an exhibition of art by Syrian Refugee Children. Its fantastic and a way of seeing what is happening in that part of the world through different eyes.

BTW, Father Mark Harris in the US says that the Philippine province has already said no to the covenant.
Yes – it is reported that the Philippine province has said no, but the reports I saw suggested that it was their bishops who said no rather than a vote in a General Synod.
My point was that I think that the Scottish Synod is the first actual Synod of a Province to say no. Happy to be proved wrong though.

So it was down to Troon on Friday night for Tom Montgomery’s installation as Rector of St Ninian’s Church there. I have to say that St Ninian’s was looking absolutely beautiful for the evening. A gorgeous swag of flowers was behind the altar just over the heads of the clergy and there were beautiful candles…
