  • Other Books Read on Holiday

Finished unpacking the holiday suitcase today and found more books that I had taken with me.  These included Brick Lane by Monica Ali and Fury by Salman Rushdie. In fact, I only read the first of these, the second is now on the shelf waiting to be looked at.  The question that I have been…

  • Day is done

Well, day is done. All went off well with the Affirming Catholicism service. It was certainly the busiest event that they have had recently. My early fears that people would not turn up to something in the middle of the summer came to nothing. The church was packed and it was standing room only during…

  • I'm Back

Just to note that I am back from 2 weeks holiday in Crete. The blog posts below were posted in advance. Normal service is now resumed. Crete was hot and good. Monasteries and moussaka.

  • Job for August

I’m planning on something new in August – a politics blog. I’ve spoken about it before, but now is the time. This one has really become one for the congregation and is all about my position in ministry. My local campaigning is a separate issue altogether and deserves its own distinctive website.

  • Talking of books…

… I need to make my mind up who to go and see at the Book Festival in Edinburgh which starts soon.
