• Aaron Swartz

Can I suggest you head over to Akma’s blog to read his post about the death of Aaron Swartz. It is moving and thoughtful and expresses more eloquently than I can how I feel about this death.

Most people won’t know Aaron’s name. However we all get the benefit of his work.

As Akma says, “the churches have an intrinsic interest in communication, free communication, profligate communication.”

    Hear, hear.

PS.The Young Church yin that I spoke to told me “it was great”. And I’m glad the Angels got a look in too – they will have enjoyed that.

A suggestion for you to consider is that the ‘Old Church’ should also do the same. You might be suprised to find that the oldies do not know the significance and the symbolism of the objects in the sacristry

  • Parking Defender

I do weary of having to defend the parking spaces outside the church from schemes to “improve” the road junction. Having just managed to save enough space for hearses and wedding cars a couple of months ago, there is now a plan to put a bus stop next to the west wall of the church,…
