Couldn’t you find a nice mitre to replace the crown? 😉

      Oh, I didn’t make it.

And in any case, with the C of E, it is all about the Crown.

Can we share it even over here in the US?

Yes! With an explanatory, ‘The Kingdom of God Needs You (To Come Out)!’ I’m celebrating today by putting my publications on my website, thus nailing my rainbow colours to the mast. Once I’ve had my tea. Living in Glasgow, I won’t have had it.

Sounds like a movie of the 1960’s starring the wonderful (and yet sad) Kenneth Williams!

Just another day to be forgotten about, by the majority of straight people. Like the 1st of December, I half jokingly asked my rector which colour I should dye my hair on the 1st, pink or purple he immediately said purple. I asked why then he reminded that it was Advent, I had to explain why I had thought of pink. He didn’t know that the 1st of Dec was the world’s hiv/aids day, we both were seeing the day from completely different angels.
I was surprised that the day wasn’t known to him, he’s not that old.. Anyway way I could experiment and see what happens.

What a lovely thought, that there are different angels dedicated to the celebration of Advent and to the care of people in various states of sickness and health! A felicitous typo.

  • Cute Guys at St Silas

The mystery worshipper has been to St Silas. Cute guys there, apparently. Read it all. Looks like it was the same reviewer who came to St Mary’s and reviewed us at Pentecost.

  • A Moratorium on Moratoria

Rather surprisingly, I’ve not said much about the Lambeth Conference since it closed. The truth is, we were rather distracted at St Mary’s at the time. People are still asking me what happened. What was the result? Well, the result was not as bad as it might have been. I still wish that our bishops…

  • Healthy Groups

I’ve been lucky enough to have had a couple of development days over the last month, working one-to-one with a facilitator. One of the things that I’ve been thinking about is what makes a healthy group in a congregation. This is all rather relevant because, as St Mary’s grows, it seems inevitably to me that…

  • Gene Robinson Sermon – Audio Version for Dial up

Whilst I've been uploading things, I thought I would put another version of +Gene's sermon online. Again, this is an audio only version for those with dial-up and not broadband. If you've missed it the first time around, then here it is. I've also added this to the Audio podcast that you can find through…
